WIND ENERGY
Energy exctraction from aeolic force

International energy strategies, which are nowadays being developed throughout the world, are more and more oriented towards an increasing percentage of green energy supply. Wind energy is, together with the conversion of energy from sunlight into electricity and heat, one of the most promising no-carbon resource, and it is exploitable through several physical mechanisms of extraction. CRIACIV activities have been involved in the investigation of several devices, variable in size, type and physical mechanism employed, either for commercial activity or for research purposes, besides the numerical modelling of the wind load on wind turbines by means of numerical modelling.
